Shepherding ideas

Jason asks the audience at the Leadersheep Forum to share their ideas about something that needs to be changed or innovated in the industry.

What we discover is that people love to be involved in change, invite them to critique what we do and they will lead change. Force them to change something they haven’t been consulted on however and they will reject the change.

When we have a great idea, how can we substantiate it and get buy-in from our colleagues/industry? An idea is like a new born lamb – unstable, fragile and vulnerable. It needs time to run around the paddock and get strong. We need a way of shepherding and herding ideas.
